Let’s know the TIN Certificate Registration Process.
First Step- E TIN Registration Login
To apply for a TIN Certificate online you need to first create an account from the NBR website. After that, you have to log in to generate a TIN certificate.
From here you can use this account for TIN Certificate registration and other matters such as income tax returns or receiving any other information or services.
- To create an account, first visit the National Board of Revenue website.
- After entering here, press the ‘Register’ button from the dashboard.
- There will be an option to provide some information.
- The first thing you need to do here is to provide a ‘User ID’
User ID can be any combination of letters and numbers. But no space can be given here.
- Once the user ID is provided, set up a ‘Password’
- Enter a password of your choice but it must be within 8 digits.
Remember this password for the future.
- After entering the password, retype it in the box ‘Retype Password’
Then below you will see an option to give a quote. This is a security concern. You can create a question of your choice. You can write it here and you can answer that question yourself in the answer box.
But you must remember this question and the answer. If you ever forget your password or username, provide this question along with the answer. Then you will get the user ID or password back.
- Then select Bangladesh as the ‘Country’
- Then there is an option to enter an ‘Email Address’ below.
- If you have an email address, please provide it here. However, if the email address is provided, you will receive various information from the email.
- Then put the ‘Captcha’ in the answer box
- Finally, press the ‘Register’ button.
- In the next box, provide your ‘Mobile Number’
A code will be sent to the mobile. The mobile number should be verified by putting this code here.
Your account will be created as soon as the mobile number is verified.
TIN Certificate Application
Once the account is created you have to come to the second step. In this way, some information has to be provided by looking at various documents to register the TIN certificate.

- Once the account is created, enter your account by pressing the ‘Login’ button with the user ID and password of that account.
- After logging into the account, you will see a dashboard like the image below.
- From here on the left side, go to the ‘TIN Application’ option.
Step 3- Selecting Information
- After going here you have to fill out the form with the correct information for TIN certificate registration.
- Here is the first option ‘Taxpayer’s Status’
- Select Individual Bangladeshi here. If you are not a Bangladeshi then select the option according to your status.
- Then select the Having NID option in the ‘Registration Type’
- But if you don’t have any NID yet then here you have to select the second option- Minor Dependent.
- Under the ‘Main Source of Income’ option, you have to select the source of your income.
- If you are an employee then you have to select the service option. In the case of other professions, then the profession should be selected. But if you are a businessman then you have to select business here.
- Then select ‘Location’ as your source of income in the main source of income field.
- Then select the business type as your profession or business in your business type cell. If you don’t find your business type here, you can provide your business location here.
- Once these details are filled, check that all the details are correct.
- If the information is correct, press the ‘Go to Next’ button.
Step 4- Providing Basic Information
Then again you have to fill out a form. That is your basic information form.
- The first option of this form is to enter your name as ‘Taxpayer’s Name’ if you want to register this TIN certificate yourself.
- Then fill in the options below correctly.
- You have to fill in the options correctly by looking at your NID card and date of birth.
- Then look at your NID card and enter the address in the current address and permanent address fields.
- If your current address and permanent address are the same, then check the small box you see here.
Step 5- Submit Application
- Once these details are filled, check them again and press the ‘Submit’ button.
- Then you will see the information you provided in the form of a page. From here check all the information once again if there is any mistake.
- If all the details are correct then complete your TIN certificate registration by pressing the submit application button.
Getting TIN Certificate
As long as you have completed the TIN certificate registration process. Now talking about where you get this TIN certificate?
Actually, after registering the TIN certificate, it may take some time to be completely generated. After this, some information regarding TIN Certificate Registration will be sent to your email address.
But you can also check your TIN certificate from this page. You can check whether your TIN certificate is done or its current status.
- To do this, click on the ‘View TIN Certificate’ option on the left side of the dashboard, it will show your TIN certificate if your TIN certificate is completed.
- Then here it will show as a certificate.
- However, if it is in any condition after the TIN certificate registration, click on the ‘View Request Status’ button to check whether it has been completed.
- Here you will find a download button below, Just press this download button and the TIN certificate will be downloaded as a PDF file.
You can save it later by printing it from somewhere else.
Once the TIN certificate registration is done, all your income will be recognized as valid. Now every year your task is to complete an income tax return.
If your income is subject to income tax, you will have to pay income tax at the specified rate.
